John is waiting for Bo when he returns home and does his best to reason with him. Bo can't get over the fact that his wife and best friends have been lying to him for almost two years. John is adamant when he says that they were doing it to protect their families. Could Bo have loved JT if he had known it was John's child? Bo admits that he wouldn't have been able to. John tells Bo that it broke his heart to give up his son, but he knew Bo would raise JT to be a good strong man. John stresses that although he knows Bo is angry, he needs to protect his family.
Abe demands to know what's been going on behind his back. Lexie blames it all on Barb, claiming that she's unstable and that Lexie just felt sorry for the baby who's going to have Glen and Barb as parents. Abe asks if Lexie has been in touch with Stefano. Lexie says no, but she plans to. No one is going to keep her from her father.
Rolf's plans to silence Barb are repeatedly foiled. He is forced to slip out of her hospital room when Glen arrives to spend the night. Rolf mutters that Barb is too out of it to reveal the truth anyway. Little does he know that a groggy and very drugged Barb is doing exactly that!
Marlena worries that John will just set Bo off again, but Hope believes that if anyone can get through to Bo, John can. The two women agree to put their differences aside to protect their children. Lexie and Abe arrive home and Hope grabs Lexie, demanding to know what she did to her. Lexie feigns a tearful innocence, but Hope isn't buying it and Hope and Marlena leave with JT. Hope is relieved to see Bo at home, she admits that she was afraid he wouldn't be there. Bo replies that he's there to protect his wife and family.
Brady and Chloe's connection deepens as Brady confesses that he knows how Chloe feels. He understands what it means to question love and to resent other people's happiness. However, he intends to protect Belle from these feelings, and Chloe agrees to keep quiet.
Belle and Shawn make a snowman up at Lookout Point and their young love grows as Shawn tells Belle he loves her.
